See how the decision works.
Explore the logic behind a technology decision. Each demonstration identifies its inputs, boundaries and the questions it is intended to help you ask.
Invoice review with human approval
SYNTHETIC DEMONSTRATION
From document to a reviewable decision
Follow a fictional invoice through checks for completeness, purchase reference and possible duplication. See why a workflow may hold a record for a person instead of proceeding automatically.

What to look for in a demonstration
- Can you identify the source data and assumptions?
- Are incomplete, duplicate or conflicting inputs handled visibly?
- Is the person with decision authority clearly identified?
- Can you distinguish the example from a real integration?
- Does the explanation say what the demonstration does not test?
Use the example to improve a real brief
A useful demonstration gives a team a concrete starting point for discussing rules. Your own process may use different suppliers, approval thresholds, data sources and systems. Write those differences down before assuming the example is a deployable specification.
| Question from the example | What your team should define |
|---|---|
| Which records can proceed? | The actual validation rules and permitted exceptions. |
| Who can approve? | Named roles, limits, substitutions and escalation. |
| What happens after approval? | The destination system and the permitted action. |
| How is failure handled? | An exception owner, retry policy and reconciliation method. |
| How is success checked? | Representative tests, acceptance evidence and operating ownership. |
Demonstration and implementation evidence
The invoice example is not a client case study and does not establish measured savings, production reliability or a payment integration. Real implementation evidence must identify the deployed scope and the checks actually performed.

AI & Automation
Where human review belongs in an AI-assisted workflow
Put human review where the consequence and uncertainty require it. A person clicking “approve” is meaningful only if they have the authority, evidence and time to make the decision.

How to write acceptance tests for an automation pilot
Write the acceptance criteria before a pilot begins. The test should show whether the agreed business boundary works, including difficult inputs and interrupted handoffs.

Design an approval workflow that handles absence and exceptions
An approval workflow is a record of authority as well as a sequence of steps. Design who may decide, what they must see and what happens when nobody can act.
