POLICY / FOXBYTE SYSTEMS
Cookies & Website Controls
Information to help you understand and use the Foxbyte website.
What website storage means
Websites can use cookies and similar browser storage to remember information between requests. Different items can support security, a signed-in session, a requested transaction, preferences or optional features. Their purpose matters more than the name of the technology.
Understand the feature before using it
| Feature | What to check |
|---|---|
| Account or sign-in | Session and security storage can be necessary for the requested signed-in experience. |
| Shopping or payment journey | The enabled commerce and payment components determine which transaction information and storage are needed. |
| Analytics or optional embedded content | Check the current notice and available choices before enabling an optional feature. |
| External communication | Selecting an external channel, including WhatsApp, brings that provider’s own terms and privacy practices into the interaction. |
If you would like details about a storage item you see, ask Foxbyte about its purpose, provider and expiry. Mention the page or feature involved.
Use the controls available to you
Your browser can show stored website data and provide controls to clear or block it. Clearing data can sign you out or remove a saved preference. Blocking storage required for a feature can prevent that feature from working.
Where the website offers optional-feature choices, use those controls for the affected feature. A browser setting and a website preference can affect different parts of the experience. Neither should be interpreted as deleting every record held by every provider.
A practical way to raise a question
- Note the page address and the feature you were using.
- Describe the storage item or choice you want explained, without sending an active session token.
- Tell Foxbyte whether you need help using a control or information about why a feature requires storage.
Changes to website features
A new analytics provider, payment component, assistant or embedded service can change the storage used by the website. Review the notices and controls shown for a feature when you choose to use it. Do not infer that a provider is active merely because a guide mentions its product.
Storage used by the current website
Necessary form security uses __Host-fb_intake for up to 2 hours. Authorised project features may use __Host-fb_journey for 1 hour and __Host-fb_project for up to 20 minutes. Privacy and assistant security use __Host-fxl_session for 2 hours. Saving your optional-processing choices sets __Host-fxl_choice for 180 days. Native WordPress and WooCommerce account/session cookies depend on the feature you use.
Use “Cookie & AI choices” to reject optional processing or withdraw a previous choice. External AI questions and analytics forwarding require their respective choice and a configured provider. The Launch GA4 adapter, when configured and accepted, uses _ga and _ga_<property> cookies with a configured 180-day duration. Rejecting optional processing does not disable necessary form security.
See the Privacy Policy for current processing and provider status. Clicking “Continue on WhatsApp” opens a separate service; it is not proof that a message was sent.
